As many of you may already know, GK Films and MGM have hired Buffy the Vampire Slayer writer and co-producer Marti Noxon to work on the script for their upcoming Tomb Raider reboot film. It’s not yet clear whether the film will be a big-screen adaptation of Tomb Raider 2013 or an all-new adventure set after Ms Croft’s ordeal on Yamatai but fans will no doubt be looking forward to finding out who will be cast as our beloved female “archaeologist”.
So, folks, who do you think deserves the chance to step into Lara’s boots? Would you prefer to see Angelina Jolie return as our favourite action heroine or should the part go to Camilla Luddington, the actress who voiced Lara in the reboot game? And are there any actor or actresses you’d like to see in a supporting role? Share your thoughts below!
Personally, I’d love to see Liam Neeson as Conrad Roth and either Hayley Atwell or Gemma Arterton as Lara.
Update: There hasn’t been much news about the new film in months so there’s some doubt as to whether the film will actually go ahead. Marti Noxon has kept mum about her involvement in the film and there has been no news about its cast. In the meantime, why not check out Croft, the fan film that was released in December 2013?
Update #2: Marti Noxon is no longer attached to the film. See my article The Tomb Raider Movie Franchise Hits the Reboot Button for more information!
