Wishing You All a Merry Croftmas!

Christmas is almost here so I’ll be taking a few days’ break from blogging to celebrate the holidays with friends and family. New articles will be up on the blog very soon but in the meantime, here’s a short list of ways you can keep yourselves busy:

  • Take the time to play or (re-play) Lara Croft & the Temple of Osiris!
  • Read Pfangirl’s 3-part Christmas fan fic special, A Croft Christmas.
  • Check out Sammy’s Advent Endurance Christmas fan art.
  • Channel your artistic side and take part in Tomb Raider Empire’s card design art contest (deadline: 1st January 2015).
  • Get to know Tomb Raider fans better by browsing through our archive of fan interviews.
  • Teach yourself how to read Egyptian hieroglyphs or Maya glyphs.
  • Spend some time getting to grips with Egyptian, Norse, or Aztec mythology.
  • Learn more about some of the places Lara Croft has visited in the games.
  • Have a laugh reading through Helen’s tweet review of Tomb Raider: The Ten Thousand Immortals.
  • Catch up with any editions of Arte-Factual you may have missed.
  • Like the Archaeology of Tomb Raider Facebook page.
  • Read Jaden Moretti’s article on Hunted, an upcoming fan film based on Tomb Raider 2013.
  • Register and join in the conversations over at Survivor Reborn’s Tomb Raider forum.
  • Follow the Archaeology of Tomb Raider on Twitter.
  • Be awed by Jean Michel Thery’s Tomb Raider models, such as this one, this one, or this one.
  • Watch some TED talks on archaeology and cultural heritage.
  • Download and play some Christmas-themed fan-made Tomb Raider levels.
  • Treat yourself to some Tomb Raider collectibles and merchandise.
  • Enjoy your time off with your own friends and family! Why are you still reading this? Go and open your presents!

Lara Croft raids my Christmas tree

So have yourselves a very Merry Croftmas, everyone! Who knows what valuable loot you’ll find under your Christmas tree this year… ;-)
