First Set Photos of Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft

Get your first glimpse of Alicia Vikander's Lara in action!

Tomb Raider fans have been anxiously waiting for their first look at Alicia Vikander from the set of the upcoming reboot film and, thanks to the Daily Mail Online, they need not wait any longer!

The British news site published a number of exclusive photos that show the Swedish actress in action, dangling from wires, holding on to the wing of an airplane that’s seen better days, and sporting an outfit that looks very similar to the one Lara Croft wore in the 2013 game (complete with makeshift cloth bandages).

Little is known about the plot of the upcoming film but, based on what we’ve seen and heard so far, it’ll be similar in tone to the last two Crystal Dynamics’ games and may very well be a loose adaptation of the 2013 reboot.

Will Roar Uthaug’s film be a retelling of Lara’s ill-fated mission to Yamatai? Or will we be getting a completely new story? Only time will tell…
